January and February are slow for me. Like painfully slow as far as photography sessions go. Most weddings in this area happen in the fall, which means that I go from hustling and feeling like I'm #killingit to a screeching halt in the "winter" months. However, this does give me time to experiment with new locations and techniques. And what better models to use for my styled shoot than my sweet little ladies. If you follow us on Instagram, they are #thosecolsongirls. This session actually was about three folds worth of usefulness. Firstly, I seriously needed some updated pictures of my girls-- I try to make sure to use my 'big camera' for my own family when I can! The second reason that I wanted to have this session is because when Hannah was about the same age as Eve, I did a similar shoot with her, and some comparison shots would be fun! And lastly, this was a 'practice' session before my mini-sessions this past Saturday! So we could call it "research" ;)
