Meet Lindsey and Kevin... Lindsey works as the Nurse Recruiter at a local hospital which hired Kevin as an RN in 2012. He sent her "Thank You" flowers for making his hiring process so stress free, then proceeded to ask her out in the card... the rest is history!
Kevin and Lindsey are a pretty thoughtful pair, and quite family oriented. For starters, their officiant was Kevin's uncle, who lead the ceremony in a very personal and beautiful way. Their cakes even had family touches. Kevin's mother designed and baked his gorgeous (and delicious!) groom's cake, and their bridal cake topper was from Lindsey's parents wedding.
Throughout their wedding, sweet nods to family members who have gone on were sprinkled in. Her bouquet of peonies and soft greenery was adorned with dog-tags and brooches, sorority pins and charms. His boutonniere held a beautiful ring and a cherub pin, signifying two close family members. The couple also recognized these loved ones through a chalkboard sign.
Their choice of a pavilion ceremony was a great one in the midst of the South Georgia Spring. Their floral designers created a gorgeous cloth backdrop with matching entryway for Lindsey to still have a grand entrance. It was shaded and breezy, and beautiful.
Lindsey and Kevin's reception started with their introduction and first dance on the outside porch. When they cut the cake, Kevin surprised Lindsey with a little shaker of sprinkles (her favorite!) for her piece of cake. They took their first drink as a married couple from glass bottles of Dr. Pepper, their signature drink. At the end of the reception, the couple ran between two lines of guests waving whimsical streamer wands, kissing in the middle for full effect. Their get-away car was a green vintage number bought by her father just for the occasion.
There were so many beautiful details, meaningful touches and family references in this event. It was beautiful, well thought-out, and perfectly executed. I am so thrilled and honored to have been a part of such a beautiful and special day!! Best wishes you two!
