Had a whirl-wind weekend... fabulous wedding on Saturday (another full post all about that beautiful-goodness to come later this week), and Sunday full of family times.  Saturday was a little bit difficult for me because a very good friend of mine was getting married on that day, out of town, and I had already booked a wedding, so I was unable to attend.  It made me think about this job.  Made me stop and think about what it is I'm doing, and is it worth missing out on some things.  And right now, I'm going to say yes... it is worth it.  Its worth hearing the grooms say that they felt comfortable in front of our cameras.  Its worth getting that 'perfect' shot and nearly crying from the accomplishment.  Its worth hearing the bride's family say how much fun it was to work with us.  Its worth feeling success... success at figuring out how to capture the moment, the details, the emotion.  Its worth being beside a bride all day and helping her to have a fantastic time.   Its worth gaining at least a couple of friends each wedding. And lets just be honest, its worth getting to indulge in wedding cake and delicious reception food at least a couple of times each month ;)

As with every job my husband and I have, we say that we will work at a place until it doesn't make since for our family to do that anymore... and right now, (and I hope, for MANY years to come), for me, it does.
